"Tugging Through Time" is the first documentary film on the history of tugboats in New York Harbor. The history of these boats, their owners and operators, is vastly significant, and yet amazingly, has not been produced on film.
The growth and evolution of the tugging industry, is a mirror to the social, political, and technological history of New York City. It is a prime example of how technology, politics, and business interacted over time to achieve positive results.
